Inspiration, without complexity

We set out to build an instrument that inspires you to play, without adding complexity that gets in your way. Svensson is a playful keyboard you can simply turn on and start exploring. No manual. No menus. Just nice sounds, a built-in looper, and a surprisingly powerful speaker.

Four tracks is more fun

Svensson has four tracks: Drums, Bass, Bread, and Butter. Each track plays its own sound and can loop alongside the others. You can quickly jump between sounds from the library, and each preset has dedicated Tone, Mood, and Shape controls.

A quicker way to loop ideas

Instead of using a traditional record button, Svensson is always listening. When you play something you like, press Loop to keep it going. Add layers to the same track or start a new loop on another. Loops can be as long as you like, and you can have as many as you like.

Why we collaborated with Cuckoo

To make the sounds for Svensson, we reached out to fellow Swede and sound designer Andreas Paleologos, better known as Cuckoo. We love the sounds he has created for other instruments and find his approach to synth programming particularly playable and musical.

What’s in the library

For the launch, Cuckoo has created a collection of 100 sounds. They range from acoustic pianos to classic synth tones, with some of the most interesting sounds sitting somewhere in between, harder to define as either acoustic or electronic. What matters most is that they are colorful, expressive, and designed to be played.

Over time, we want to work with more great sound designers to expand the library and explore ways to let you add your own sounds.

Built to last

Svensson is manufactured in Germany with a sturdy metal body and solid oak sides. It has a semi-weighted 49-key Fatar keyboard with velocity sensitivity. The built-in speaker was developed by Swedish loudspeaker designer Ingvar Öhman. It’s powerful enough to fill a living room without an external amplifier. Perfect if you have friends over and want to start a spontaneous jam.

The first batch drops soon

We’re in the final stages of preparing Svensson for production. Preorders for the limited first batch will open soon, with instruments expected to ship in autumn 2026. The price is not finalized but expected to be around €899 in Europe and $999 in the United States.
